The Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Hertfordshire is made up of thousands of organisations — from small, volunteer-led charities and community-based faith groups to large social enterprises employing hundreds of staff and supporting thousands of people.

These organisations bring a wide range of skills and experience to help people stay well, care for themselves and their families, feel connected to their communities, and know that they are valued.

The Hertfordshire VCFSE Alliance is a network of these organisations. We work closely with the NHS, local councils, and other partners in the Integrated Care System to ensure that everyone can access the support they need, when they need it.

The Alliance is led by a steering group made up of 8 elected leaders from VCFSE organisations across Hertfordshire, along with an associate member from Healthwatch Hertfordshire. Day-to-day secretariat functions, operations and delivery is supported by two Alliance staff members.
