The vision for the Alliance is to build on the trust and good working relations which have developed between the VCFSE sector and statutory partners in the ICS area before and particularly during covid and to grow a VCFSE Alliance which can take its place as a respected equal alongside others who make up the ICS partnership.

 The Values VCFSE organisations have said are important for the Alliance to embody are:

• Open and inclusive. All VCFSE organisations within the ICS can be part of the Alliance and have their voice heard in it.
• Independent – the Alliance will demonstrate its independence of the statutory sector but also demonstrate that it represents the voice of the majority of the Alliance on any issue, not any particular vested interest within the sector
• As local as possible Recognise the importance of the many ‘places’ which make up the vast geographical footprint of the ICS.
• Equalities and Fairness – Welcome and work to hear minoritised voices

To support the ‘Triple Aim’ of the ICB constitution which means considering the effect of recommendations or proposals made by the Alliance on the better health and wellbeing of everyone, the quality of care for all patients, and the sustainable use of NHS resources.
